The ESAA are pleased to welcome all athletes, teachers, officials and spectators to the 2021 English Schools' Athletics Association Schools Cross
Country Cup Final being hosted by Newquay Tretherras School and Cornwall Schools' AA.
Car Parking is supervised by Newquay Tretherras School Teachers and pupil Sports Leaders. Course Marshals are provided by Newquay Road Runners and Newquay Lions.
The competition is for Junior (under 14, normally Years 7/8 Pupils), Intermediate (under 16, normally Years 9/10 pupils) and,
for the first time, Senior (under 19, normally Years 11/`12/13 pupils) age groups.
The local rounds of this competition started in October, with 2199 teams from 619 schools throughout England competing against other local schools in their County.
The leading teams from these competitions held in each County then competed in one of nine Regional finals in early November.
The National Final pits the three leading teams in each age group in each Region against each other.
In each race, for scoring purposes, School Teams consist of 6 runners with the best 4 scoring for their team.
We are aware that there are a number of Social Media accounts referencing ESAA events,

The course is grassland with some challenging slopes
and is particularly spectator friendly.
Min. 11mm spikes recommended.
The School operates a NO DOGS ON SITE policy except for assistance dogs.

Newquay is well served by road with access from the east via M5 Motorway and the dual carriage A30.
Leave the A30 at Indian Queens taking the A392 and A3058 signposted Newquay.
By Air: Newquay Airport serves several London and regional airports and is just a 10 minutes drive from the school
By Train: The Great Western Railway line has regular trains from the Midlands/North of England and from London

School Team Minibuses: driven by the teacher/team manager to be parked in Car Parks P1/2 in
Trevenson Road. Use Sat Nav TR7 3BH.
School Team Coach transport: (vehicles with carrying capacity more than 17) Drop off your team(s) in Car Park 2.

The driver will be directed to a local coach park and you should make your own arrangements for the coach to return to pick you up.
Spectator Car Parking: There is no spectator parking available on site. Well sign posted ample FREE spectator car parking is available
offsite at a clearly signposted distance of 500 metres safe walking at Waterworld Overflow Car Park, Trenance Leisure Park, Newquay. Use Sat Nav TR7 2LZ.
Disabled Car Parking: Blue pass car parking is available in Car Park P3 adjacent to the course. Use Sat Nav TR7 2SL.
Please note that the site is on three levels and wheelchair users may wish to remain on the middle
level which is the same level as for Blue badge parking.
Officials' Car Parking: Officials use Car Park P3 adjacent to the course. Use Sat Nav TR7 2SL.
Please note that on safety grounds there should be no parking on the approach roads to/around the school.

Presentations
Although many of you will have long journeys home, all are asked, as a matter of courtesy,
to attend the presentation ceremony from 3pm in the The Quay Building.
Merchandise
Moremile supplies the official ESAA Event Merchandise.
Schools will be able to pre-order kit for delivery before the event or collection on race day.

ESAA have appointed
RWT Photography of Peterborough
as their Official Photographer
for this event and this company has sole merchandising rights for the sale of photographs.
All photographs will be available for sale via their website after the event.
ALL PERSONS WISHING TO TAKE PHOTGRAPHS FOR THEIR PERSONAL USE must register their photography device (including mobile phones),
using the UKA Form provided, with the ESAA Media Officers in the Main Sports Hall.
The one day ESAA Photography accreditation wristbands supplied to registered photographers must be worn at all times on site.
Photographs of ESAA events might be published in the athletics press, local media, and on this website.
All ESAA photographs are taken in accordance with the
guidelines relating to photos in schools
published by the Information Commissioner with regard to the General Data Protection Regulations 2018.
Photographs and videos can be taken by the public from public areas for personal use only.
They may not be published in any form (including on personal or club websites) without written permission from the ESAA.
Photographers at ESAA events wishing to publish photos in the media or in any other form (eg. internet websites), or wishing to use them for
anything other than personal use must be officially registered and accredited by the ESAA, and register the use to which
photos will be put, and obtain permission for that use.
This event is a UKA Licensed event so the ESAA operates under UK Athletics rules for competition.
It is not possible to prevent photographs of any particular individual from appearing in the media. As a School team event all schools have been
required to provide pre-event permission for their athletes to be photographed.
If any parent wishes a particular picture of their child appearing on the ESAA website or Social Media platforms to be
removed please
contact the Cross Country Cup National Coordinator
and we will do our best to resolve any problem without delay.
