We are pleased to welcome all athletes, teachers,
officials and spectators for the 2009 English Schools' Athletic Association
Schools' Cross Country Cup Finals. The competition is for Junior (under 14) and Intermediate (under 16) age groups (ages as on 31st August 2010), and started with Round 1 during October, with over 850 schools throughout England competing against other local schools in their County. The leading teams from all the competitions held in each County then competed in one of 8 Regional Finals on 14th November. This National Final pits the leading 3 teams in each Region against each other. Teams comprise 6 athletes with the first 4 counting towards the points total. In the event of a tie on points, the team whose 4th counter finishes higher takes precedence. Course Venue: Newquay Tretherras School, Trevenson Road, Newquay, Cornwall TR7 3BH. All official photographs are taken in accordance with the guidelines relating to photos in schools published by the Information Commissioner with regard to the Data Protection Act 1998.Photographs and videos which are taken by the public from public areas may be used for personal use only. They may not be published in any form (including on personal or club websites) without written permission from the ESAA.
Photographers at ESAA events wishing to publish photos in the media or in any other form (eg. internet websites), or wishing to use them for anything other than personal use must be officially registered and accredited by the ESAA.
It is not possible to prevent photographs of any particular individual from appearing in the media. If this is a problem for you, you are advised not to take part in the event.
