Getting there

Leicestershire Police Constabulary and The Leicestershire Highways Department have both indicated that exit off the M1 at junction 23, when travelling to the venue, is imperative, to limit any congestion problems. Please bear this in mind when planning your routes too and from the venue.

At junction 23 roundabout, you join the A512, following the signs for Ashby-de-la-Zouch. For those teams and spectators travelling North it is the first turn off from the roundabout but for those travelling South it is the third turn off. There will be AA traffic signs on the roundabout to support these directions.

Approximately 800 metres along the A512, at the first set of traffic lights, you take a filter right onto the Leicester Road. Coach drivers and hired mini bus drivers need to note the car parking area immediately on the right, Carr Brook House, because this will be where they will park for the duration of the late morning, early to mid afternoon, after dropping off athletes at Shepshed High School.

Continue along Leicester Road for approximately 1.5 kilometre and at the mini roundabout/petrol station, take the second right onto Forest Street. Travel along this road for about 1 kilometre, being careful over the speed bumps and residents vehicles, until you reach the entrance for HLCC/ Shepshed HS/ St Botolph’s Primary School, on the right hand side of the road. There will be parking marshals just inside the entrance of the campus to direct drivers of large coaches/hired drivers of mini buses, not Team Managers driving their teams, to the athletes drop off points, before they return to park at the end of Leicester Road.
