Gateshead International Stadium

Friday 11th & Saturday 12th July 2008

A number of Photographers were on site during the Championships and the following have indicated that they are willing to provide photos for sale, others will be added here in due course. These links are provided purely for your information: the ESAA have no direct links with any of them, make nothing from them, and can not be held responsible for any transactions between you and them.

Please allow them time to upload their pictures - most won't be available until Wednesday 16th July or later.

Please note that the quality of pictures available will vary - covering everyone in all events is a very difficult task, and some companies need to use photographers who do not necessarily specialise in athletics events. The quality of cameras and lenses used will also vary - the specialist sports photographers use cameras costing many thousands of pounds, so it is obviously not possible to provide 20 or 30 of them!

A selection of photos will also appear on this website over the next week or so as time permits - it takes a long time to view, edit, and catalog pictures and this can only be done in spare time outside of normal full time work. This is a particularly busy time for the ESAA website host so please be patient!

They will have thousands of pictures at various resolutions and qualities. It takes time for them to process all the pictures - they should begin to become available sometime by Wednesday 16th July but could take a week or more to get them all loaded onto their website.
Keith Mayhew
Photographer for Athletics Weekly
Keith is THE specialist sports photographer and his photos are always top quality. See his site at www.km.photos.gb.com/esaa where you can browse under a variety of sections, and place orders for prints. Photos will become available during the course of the week following the Championships.

Because he can't be everywhere at the same time, he concentrates on the track events and the field events which are within easy reach of the trackside. Restrictions imposed by the extra requirements of live TV coverage mean that there won't be as many as in previous years.

Keith will also be taking photos at the Schools International competition in Bedford on 19th July - you'll find photos at www.km.photos.gb.com/siab in due course.
Gary Mitchell Photography
See his website at www.garymitchellphoto.com

He normally has hundreds of photos available. They all show up on one page as thumbnails so you'll have to wait a long time for them all to download if you've not got broadband.

Others will be added here when confirmation is received from them that they have photos for sale.
