The 2000 Cross Country Championships was run at Parliament Hill in London, the most famous and arguably the toughest course in the UK. The weather couldn't have been better, a beautiful sunny spring day, and the competition was superb.

The National Championships is the culmination of hundreds of local district competitions, the best at local level then battle through the County Championships. The top 8 in each County in each age group then compete at this National Level.

This day was a glorious celebration of everything that is great in the youth of today, and truly reflects the dedication of the hundreds of teachers whose selfless devotion to their profession enables children of all ages to enjoy the sheer pleasure of achieving their best.
